Algsis® Cargo-loaded Exosomes (Customizable)
Algsis® Cargo-loaded Exosomes are second-generation exosomes developed on Protoga’s proprietary large-scale exosome production and exogenous loading technology, unlocking full potential for advanced exosome applications. Sourced from single-celled microalgae, the carrier is naturally free of animal-derived heterologous proteins and latent pathogenic viruses with low sensitization risk. Its phospholipid membrane is structurally homologous to human cell membranes. Different from conventional animal-origin exosomes, it acts as an innovative active delivery carrier for cosmetics and functional foods.
Using proprietary exogenous loading technology, selected functional ingredients are incorporated into the vesicle lumen and phospholipid bilayers of exosomes to form Drug-Exo. It accommodates an extensive portfolio of payloads: cosmetic and nutritional raw materials including collagen, PDRN, ceramide, pro-xylane, retinol, astaxanthin, NMN and peptides, alongside pharmaceutical actives such as paclitaxel and doxorubicin. For cosmetic formulations, it resolves typical drawbacks of active ingredients: susceptibility to oxidation, skin irritation and insufficient transdermal penetration. In functional foods, the vesicles withstand gastric acid to markedly boost oral bioavailability of encapsulated components.
